Farmers Market Sales Associate - Sunday Clement Street, SF

Root Down Farm is seeking a positive & capable individual to leave from the farm in Pescadero and drive our transit van to our Sunday Clement Street Farmers Market in SF each Sunday. We reluctantly need to replace our current incredible & hard working long term staff member for this market by May 1st.

Root Down Farm is a queer-owned regenerative poultry & pig operation located in beautiful Pescadero, California.  We humanely raise chickens, turkeys, ducks and pigs through rotational grazing & foraging, while improving our soils and increasing biodiversity.  We see ourselves as stewards of the land and use the natural behaviors of our animals to create healthy soil while producing honest and delicious meat. 

We have just begun our 11th year and are looking for a part time Farmers Market Sales Associate to join our small but mighty team.  The absolute ideal candidate will have a clean & valid drivers license, farmers market experience, be highly motivated, kind, enjoy interacting with farmers market customers positively and able to commit to 1 year. Must be very reliable, able to drive transit van from farm in Pescadero, able to push heavy coolers, and communicate clearly.

Hours

Sundays from 6:30- roughly 3:30/4

Pay

$19/hr to start (increase after 3 month trial period) plus 2% of sales from the day. This can equal anywhere from $23-$28 per hour, depending on the sales for the day, plus discounted meat.
