August Poultry Harvesting Workshop

Ready to take the next step to truly know your food? Come to our chicken processing workshop at Root Down Farm and learn all aspects of raising and humanely processing chickens.

In this workshop, farmers will lead you through the entire detailed process of humanely harvesting a chicken for meat. You will have the opportunity to participate (or not participate) at any level you feel comfortable, and go home with your own processed chicken. Whether you have a few chickens in your urban backyard or are thinking of starting your own poultry farm, these workshops are for you!
